Description of Service

Scudo provides an AI-powered concierge service that helps car owners in Los Angeles find and connect with vetted paint protection specialists. Our services include:

• AI chat assistant for paint protection recommendations
• Photo assessment of vehicle paint condition
• Matching users with partner shops for PPF, ceramic coating, window tint, and detailing services

Scudo acts as a referral service. We do not perform paint protection services directly. All services are provided by independent partner shops.

SMS / Text Messaging

By providing your phone number to Scudo — whether through our website chat, by texting our phone number at (818) 946-0542, or by any other means — you expressly consent to receive recurring automated SMS text messages from Scudo.

Types of messages you may receive:

• Responses to your inquiries about paint protection services (PPF, ceramic coating, window tint, detailing)
• Your personalized protection plan and pricing information
• Follow-up communications regarding your connection with partner shops
• Service-related updates, appointment reminders, and notifications
• Promotional offers related to paint protection services (if applicable)

Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on your interaction with our service. You may receive anywhere from 1 to 10 messages per conversation. We do not send ongoing marketing blasts.

Message and data rates: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Scudo does not charge for SMS messages, but your carrier may.

How to opt out: You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any SMS message from Scudo. After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message. You will not receive any further messages unless you re-initiate contact.

Consent is not required for purchase: You are not required to provide your phone number or consent to SMS messaging as a condition of using our website, receiving recommendations, or purchasing any services. You may use our website chat without providing a phone number.

Supported carriers: SMS messaging is supported on all major US carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and others.

Scudo connects users with independent paint protection shops. Please note:

• Partner shops are independent businesses, not employees or agents of Scudo
• Service quality, pricing, and warranties are determined by each shop
• Any disputes regarding services should be resolved directly with the shop
• Scudo does not guarantee the availability, quality, or pricing of shop services

Pricing Information

Price ranges provided by our AI concierge are estimates based on typical Los Angeles market rates. Actual pricing:

• May vary based on vehicle type, condition, and specific requirements
• Will be confirmed directly by the partner shop
• Is subject to change without notice

Intellectual Property

The Scudo name, logo, website design, and AI technology are the property of Scudo. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Scudo provides its service "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of our service
• We are not responsible for the actions, products, or services of partner shops
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid to use our service (which is currently free)

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Scudo harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our service or violation of these terms.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of our service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
